Red Dot Fitness debuts new facility on The Alameda

SAN JOSE -- The Alameda, in San Jose, just got a new addition that provides local residents the opportunity to live life to the fullest with good health and nutrition.

Red Dot Fitness opened the doors of its new 5,600 square foot facility at 850 The Alameda on November 1, 2017. The facility is the latest addition to this historic stretch of the El Camino Real. The area has transformed in the last five years from a stagnant neighborhood with numerous vacant buildings to what is now a lively thoroughfare at the heart of San Jose and Silicon Valley. The state highway designation for The Alameda was retired six years ago as part of The Alameda: A Plan For The “Beautiful Way” initiative that resulted from an alliance between the San Jose Redevelopment Agency, the Department of Transportation, and surrounding neighborhoods. The goal was to revitalize the area and transform it to a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly retail center. The new Red Dot Fitness facility is located at the Sunol Street intersection, just west of the new Whole Foods and the SAP Center. The new facility replaces the previous home for Red Dot Fitness which was located in the Willow Glen Neighborhood, specifically on Lincoln Avenue.

“We're sad to be leaving our home of seven years on Lincoln Avenue. Lots of great memories there,” the company said via Instagram. “Time for a new chapter and looking forward to all the new memories.”
