Sam Pricer
Personal Trainer
Sam grew up in Fremont, California, where he began playing various sports at the age of four, including baseball, basketball, bowling, soccer, and volleyball. His natural talent for sports often led him to advance to higher age groups ahead of his peers. In high school, Sam focused on baseball, basketball, and volleyball, excelling in all three. His hard work and determination earned him the role of captain for both the basketball and volleyball teams.
After high school, Sam returned to his alma mater to coach the men’s volleyball team while also working as a physical therapy aide. As an aide, he gained valuable experience in helping people recover from various injuries. This experience sparked his interest in massage therapy, leading him to complete a ten-month certification course in 2010, where he deepened his knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
In 2011, Sam joined the United States Marine Corps, serving for ten years in both active and reserve roles. Known for his exceptional physical fitness, Sam quickly rose through the ranks, developing training programs for his fellow Marines to help them meet military fitness standards. It was during this time that Sam discovered his passion for mentoring and assisting others in achieving their strength, endurance, and weight goals.
In the fall of 2019, Sam adopted a plant-based diet and saw a significant improvement in his strength. Inspired by his own progress, he pursued a personal training certification from the International Sports Science Academy (ISSA) in 2020. Although the pandemic initially delayed his plans to become a personal trainer, Sam eventually realized that his true passion lies in fitness. In 2022, he earned his personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and began his career at a small physical therapy clinic, where he assisted clients in strength training after injury and provided strength and conditioning training for high school swimmers in the San Jose area.
Recently, Sam has furthered his expertise by earning certifications in Pain-Free Performance Specialization, Functional Kettlebells, and Bulgarian Bags Level 1. These new skills have enabled him to help his clients reach new goals and move with greater ease and fewer limitations.
