Personal Trainer - Coach
Adriana played soccer growing up and stayed very active through high school. However, in the move to San Jose, and adjusting to 'college life,' fitness slowly became less of a priority. When Adriana realized she had gained "the freshman 15," she reflected on how she had acquired various bad habits, made some lifestyle changes to account for this and re-prioritized fitness. During this time in college Adriana began consistently strength training and fell in love with how it made her feel physically and emotionally. Although she had previous experience in organized sports, she didn't have much experience in the weight room. Initially, the weight room was intimidating to her as she didn't know what to do, so she began researching and educating herself on strength training. Adriana felt empowered and passionate about her new-found strength training experience and education. As fitness started making a positive impact in Adriana's life, she realized she wanted to share it with other people.
Toward the end of her college career, Adriana wanted to take her passion to the next level and attained the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification. She started her training career by coaching clients in a studio where the philosophy was time under tension. It was through experience and this environment where she gained a true apprciation for overall optimal health and healthy pain free joints. Adriana loves helping others move and feel better so they can confidently do the things in life they enjoy. She also loves helping others reach levels of mental discipline and perseverance by adding fitness into their lives.
Although fitness is a huge part of Adriana's life, she also believes there should be an equal balance in life between fitness, work, and fun. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family, cooking, and occasionally traveling back to San Diego to enjoy the beach.
